The Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC) wants to advise participants in the AgriStability program the interest-free period for overpayments is being extended. As of January 1, 2012 the collection of interest on overpayments from the AgriStability program will be deferred for one year. Participants with outstanding overpayments from AgriStability will not have interest applied, to the balance owing, during this period.

Even though this interest-free period has been extended, these overpayments are still due and SCIC can work with producers on options for repayment. Please keep in mind this interest-free period is only for AgriStability overpayments. Producers with Crop Insurance overpayments are still required to meet the terms and conditions of repayment for those outstanding balances.

For more information about AgriStability or if you have questions about an outstanding overpayment contact our AgriStability Call Centre at: 1-866-270-8450.
