A job competition is being held to fill the following position in the Compliance and Investigations Division:

EXECUTIVE MANAGER

Location: Melville
Status: Permanent

Duties:

  • This is a senior management position reporting to the General Manager and is responsible for the overall direction and leadership of the Compliance and Investigations Division and the coordination of internal and external compliance and investigation audits.
  • Responsible for short and long term planning and budgeting for the division.
  • Provide advice on the strategic plan of the corporation, and implement the policy direction for the division.
  • Ensure the integrity of the crop insurance programs and procedures are maintained by conducting internal compliance audits.
  • Provide direction on training of compliance staff. This includes in-the-field training and ensuring they are updated on changes to policies and procedures.
  • Provide direction to compliance and investigations staff on highly sensitive investigations.
  • Interpret corporation policies and procedures for external contracts such as legal counsel and RCMP when conducting fraud investigations.
  • Develop and maintain third party relationships with agencies for investigative purposes.
  • Provide evidence at internal appeals, civil litigations and criminal proceedings on behalf of the corporation.
  • Promote public relations and represent the corporation in a professional manner.
  • Oversee all personnel issues involving the Compliance and Investigations Division.
  • Be an effective member of the corporation's executive management team.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or formal post-secondary courses in management and communication, with experience in investigative procedures. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Considerable experience in auditing and/or investigations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Saskatchewan agriculture including crop practices and farm management skills.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of all corporate insurance programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in explaining complex policies and procedures.
  • Excellent supervisory skills proven through effective leadership.
  • Knowledge of and experience with computers.

Conditions:

  • The successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check as a condition of employment.
