A
job competition is being held to fill the following position in the Field Operations Division:
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
(Level 4)
Location: Preeceville
Status: Temporary
Duties:
- Answer any and all customer inquiries made directly to the office in a timely manner.
- Answer any inquiries made on a daily basis, either by phone, mail or e-mail, from various head office departments.
- Maintain the customer contracts for the customer service office which includes clerical, processing and data entry work.
- Participate as a member of the sales team for the annual sales of the crop insurance program.
- Miscellaneous clerical duties such as correspondence, reports, batching, mail, filing, supply need identification and requisition, etc.
- Maintain a clear understanding of computer work; data entry, computer program knowledge and use.
- Preparation, distribution, checking and processing of adjuster work and expense and activity reports.
- Provide input into daily job duties within specified guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12, supplemented by a relevant business course and extensive related clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with computer applications, specifically wordprocessing, spreadsheeting, messaging and scheduling software (e-mail).
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong oral communication skills with experience in explaining complex policies and procedures in layperson terms.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers and the public, either on the telephone or in person.
- Customer focused.
- Experience dealing with any volatile situation in a calm, cool manner.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Basic farm/agriculture knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of all crop insurance programs, policies and procedures.
- As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be subject to a criminal record check.
Probation Period: 936 Hours
Benefits: According to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union.
