Q: What are the criteria for summerfallow coverage?

A: In order to be eligible for summerfallow coverage next year, plant growth must be controlled for the entire growing season with a minimum first time growth control operation before July 11. Insured land which is flooded or on which a crop fails to establish prior to July 11 will be eligible for summerfallow coverage next year, provided all growth control is maintained when the land is accessible.

You are not eligible for summerfallow coverage on land on which you had a claim last year.
