Q: What should I expect when the adjuster arrives with a GPS unit?

A: The adjuster will:

  • contact you and explain GPS methodology
  • measure all land
  • amend SARs as necessary
  • complete maps, reports and all required paperwork
  • after your GPS results are mailed, answer any questions you may have

You are asked to:

  • understand the purpose and intent of having land measured by GPS
  • inform the adjuster of all irregularities of the field being measured
  • ensure that any changes to land measurement are recorded by the adjuster on your Seeded Acreage Report

After your field is measured, ask yourself:

  • Was all the land measured?
  • Was care taken when driving through fields?
  • Was the information recorded and explained to you?
  • Was the adjuster professional and knowledgeable?

If you answered 'no' to any of these questions, contact your customer service office.
