Q: Why does Crop Insurance have to wait 10 days or more to appraise crops?

A: Crop Insurance adjusters can assess the frost damage only as it becomes evident in the crop. The ten days (or longer, as required) allows the total damage to become evident, resulting in a more complete assessment.
