 Home > FAQ >Insuring Crops Back-To-Back

Q. Can I insure canola or other crops back-to-back?

A. Yes, with the exception of chickpeas, BUT if the cause of loss is related to the rotation and adequate measures were not taken to mitigate any potential loss, liability may be denied. All other causes of loss which are not related to the seeding rotation are covered.

Producers are always expected to follow the recommended agronomic practices for the crop on the area they farm. If a loss is clearly preventable or controllable, that loss may not be covered.
