How do I login?

If your SCIC account has been activated, enter your SCIC contract number followed by your password and click Sign In. Your contract number can be found on previous material from SCIC such as your Confrimation of Insurance, Seeded Acreage Report or any letter or form regarding your Contract of Insurance. Your password would have been set during the initial activation of your CropConnect account.

If you have received an SCIC Activation Letter and have not activated your account yet, click on the 'Activate Account' button.

Then follow the series of steps to gain access to your CropConnect account.

If you have previously activated your account and since forgotten your password, click on the 'Forgot your Password?' link.

How do I activate my account?

Click the 'Activate Account' button on the initial CropConnect login page. Then enter your contract number and Activation Code. The Activation Code will be in the letter you received from SCIC about CropConnect. Your SCIC ID can be found on previous Crop Insurance material received from SCIC, such as your endorsement package or Confirmation of Insurance. If you are a contact person your SCIC ID would have been issued in a letter by mail. If you cannot find your SCIC ID please contact SCIC at  1.888.935.0000.

You will be required to type the two distorted words using the same characters and spacing as displayed. Once completed, click OK. On the next page you will need to provide your email address and confirm it. Then type the password you would like to use for accessing CropConnect and confirm it. You will then be asked to create three separate security questions and answers. These will be used to verify your identity in the event you forget your password. As an added security option these questions and answers can also be a part of your CropConnect login process. When all the information has been provided you will need to review the CropConnect Access Agreement, check the I Agree box and click OK.

An email will be sent to your email account with the details on how to start using CropConnect and a link to click to finish the activation process. Once you click on the link you can go to the CropConnect login screen and use your SCIC contract number and password to enter the site and start using CropConnect and all its features.

What if I have not received the email with the activation link?

On occasion, emails are sent but do not reach their intended destination. It is possible that your email provider has a strict "spam filter" and as a result, emails from CropConnect are not being passed through to your email Inbox. Another reason you may not receive the email is because your email inbox if full and you will need to delete some items to allow room for new incoming email. It is also possible that you may have incorrectly entered your email address and the email was returned to us as undeliverable. In any case, if you do not receive the email within a day of activating, you should call SCIC at 1.888.935.0000.

What are the rules for creating my password?

Try to select a password that is easy for you to remember yet hard for others to guess. Your password must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least eight characters in length
  • Have at least one number
  • Have at least one symbol (@!#$%^&;*?)
  • Have at least one capitalized letter
  • Have at least one lower case letter
  • Cannot match your BIN/Trust Number
  • Cannot match your PIN
  • Cannot match your SCIC contract number
  • Cannot match your name

Please keep in mind the more difficult you make your password the better protected your CropConnect account will be. You will also notice a password strength indicator tool, next to the box in which you will type your password. This can be used as a guide to know how secure your password is.

What is the "Remember Me" on the login page?

If you check off the box labeled "Remember Me", SCIC will remember the last SCIC contract number you logged in with from the computer you were using. The next time you visit CropConnect, using the same computer, the SCIC contract number field
will be automatically filled in with that SCIC contract number and you will be required to enter your password.

Please note: if cookies are not enabled in your browser, the "Remember Me" checkbox will not work.
