Providing insurance beyond the multi-peril Crop Insurance Program, the weather derivative programs provide coverage for pastureland as well as corn crops.

These are not individual production programs. Indemnities are not tied to your yields, the amount of precipitation, and/or the temperature on the specific parcel of land you insure. The precipitation and/or temperature readings at the selected weather stations are the only method of determining payment.
